School Closures Advisory Committee Applications Now Open At the most recent Board of Education meeting, the Board directed staff to begin developing a process to determine whether any schools should be considered for closure in the coming years. This process will be guided by clear, data-based criteria and a commitment to transparency. SBA FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE NOW AVAILABLE FOR BUSINESSES AFFECTED BY THE CIVIL UNREST The Small Business Administration (SBA) has declared a disaster for the Los Angeles County Civil Unrest, which occurred from June 6 to June 18, 2025. SBA now offers Economic Injury Disaster Loans to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private, nonprofit organizations impacted by the civil unrest.
