Local Artists and Teens Produce Murals on Shell Road and Ventura Avenue
Ventura, Calif., June 9, 2025 – California Resources Corporation (NYSE: CRC) proudly unveiled new murals surrounding its Aera subsidiary’s operations in Ventura’s west side, honoring both Earth Day and the vibrant history of the local community. The murals, created by two local artists and a group of talented teen artists, reflect a collaborative spirit and a shared vision for a more vibrant Ventura.
In partnership with the Westside Community Development Corporation (WCDC), local teens participated in an art class where they spent several weeks aerosol painting 140-foot-long wood fencing panels. These panels, now installed along Shell Road and Ventura Avenue, depict iconic elements of Ventura’s history including the Mission of Ventura, surfing, and the discovery of oil and gas, among others.
The projects are made possible by an investment from CRC and was led by WCDC along with local artists Josh Burns and Kyle Navarro.
