Save the Date! Sept. 21 — Outreach Alliance of Ventura County Celebrates 75 Years of Service
VENTURA, California (July 10, 2025) — Outreach Alliance of Ventura County (OAVC), formerly Assistance League® of Ventura County*, invites the community to help celebrate 75 years of service at a special event on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at our Chapter House, 913 E. Santa Clara St., Ventura.
Join us for:
• Ribbon cutting by the Ventura Chamber of Commerce
• Tours of our facility
• Hors d’oeuvres, giveaways, and more!
Discover how OAVC — a local, volunteer-driven nonprofit — has enriched the lives of children and adults throughout Ventura County since 1950.
Our philanthropic programs:
- B.U.F.F.Y. Bear - Provides comfort and reassurance to children experiencing traumatic events;
- Care Closet - Supplies necessities to children and families during times of emergency;
- Nancy R. Brandt - Provides support to sexual assault victims through Safe Harbor and the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office;
- Reading Club - Promotes a love of reading among elementary school students;
- Scholarships - Supports students at Ventura College and California State University Channel Islands;
- Supplies 4 Success - Supplies underserved students with the resources required to succeed in school; and
- Teens Helping Teens - Builds community leaders through service by engaging teenage volunteers.

On Sept. 26 at 9:45 a.m., we’ll cut the ribbon at 3351 E. Telegraph Rd., Ventura, kicking off a storewide 50% off sale Sept. 26–27. Proceeds support our philanthropic programs.
