Support Community Memorial Hospital – Ojai at “Endless Summer Lakeside” on Sept. 13

The Ojai Valley Hospital Foundation Guild is proud to present its annual summer fundraiser – Endless Summer Lakeside – on Saturday, September 13. The public is invited to support the event by purchasing tickets or sponsorship packages, and enjoy a laid-back lakeside evening on the banks of Lake Casitas with friends, family, and fellow supporters of Community Memorial Hospital – Ojai. Funds raised from the event will fund the purchase of 15 new specialty Stryker patient beds for the Ojai hospital, at a total cost of $185,000.

“We are grateful to the Ojai Valley Hospital Foundation Guild for their commitment to raising the funds to purchase new beds for our hospital,” said Haady Lashkari, Chief Administrative Officer at the Ojai Hospital. “Our goal is to provide every patient with the supportive care they need to recover and return home to their loved ones as soon as possible. The new Stryker beds have a number of features that will keep our patients more comfortable during their stay, but also help them heal and resume activities of daily living sooner.”  

Endless Summer Lakeside presenting sponsors are Joyce and Roderick Greene, Cathryn and Tom Krause, Peggy and George Melton, Lee and Vic Sher, Mary and David Trudeau, Dee Dee Dorskind and Brad Tabach-Bank, Marilyn and Allen Camp, and Elyse and Bill Kearney.  

“The effort to fund the purchase of the new Stryker beds has been led by our incredible presenting sponsors, each of whom individually contributed the funds to purchase one or more beds,” said Briana Kallas, Executive Director of the Ojai Valley Hospital Foundation. “Our Foundation plays a critical role in Ojai Hospital’s ability to replace aging equipment, purchase advanced technology, and introduce new programs and services to our community. Thanks to these and many other donors, we’re able to ensure that healthcare here in the Ojai Valley exceeds the industry standard, especially for smaller, more rural areas like ours.”  

Endless Summer Lakeside kicks off at 5 p.m. with a reception and pontoon boat tours of Lake Casitas. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m., followed by dessert, live music and dancing. The menu features wine, beer and pixie margaritas, and entrée choices of Mediterranean Lemon Chicken or Vegetarian Spanakopita (Greek Spinach Pie). Dinner includes side dishes, specialty coffee, hand-dipped ice cream, and frozen bananas. Valet parking is included.
