Seeking a talented and experienced full-time Development Coordinator who will be a strong advocate of the organization’s mission. The candidate will support efforts to expand the culture of philanthropy by being a visible part of the community, serving as an initial point of contact, receiving calls, and welcoming donors and visitors. Reporting to and working closely with the CFO, this position performs several administrative tasks, including, but not limited to, data entry, preparing quarterly reports for Board of Directors meetings, preparing the annual development department budget, preparing check requisitions, and maintaining expenditure records. Responsible for maintaining a development calendar with appeal schedules and donor events, such as the annual Gala and Open House, as well as several other activities that provide opportunities for donor stewardship. Responsible for writing appeal letters, compiling a concise mailing list, and coordinating with the mailing house. This includes tracking incoming donations, maintaining gift records using Raiser’s Edge software program, our on-site donor database, and promptly writing gift acknowledgment letters. Co-design donor event materials and serve as an event coordinator, managing contact with caterers, rental companies, and venue personnel.
Required:
AA Degree. 1+ yrs exp in development or fundraising, preferably in a non-profit setting. Exp dealing with donors and event coordination to raise funds. Basic understanding of grants. Proficient in MS Office.
Preferred:
Bachelors degree. Raisers Edge or Little Green light fundraising software preferred. Exp working in a faith-based non-profit or college environment a plus!
$24.00 - $32.00 per hour Full Time
